Using extensive research facilities we perform fundamental research in the field of nanolithography, primarily for our partner ASML. A substantial part of our research program focuses on physical processes that are crucial to nanolithography with extreme ultraviolet (EUV) light. At ARCNL students of physics, chemistry, and related disciplines will start their own experimental project using our state-of-the-art equipment, ranging from atomic force microscopy and nanoindentation to investigate the mechanics of precision positioning to using world record high power laser pulses to improve metrology. ARCNL employs around 80 researchers and is located at Amsterdam Science Park.

We offer a range of exciting internship opportunities in experimental and theoretical physics and chemistry. Our research program is divided into three departments focusing on EUV light generation, metrology solutions, and material degradation and manipulation.
