Location and team
DNV KEMA Gas Consulting & Services (GCS) has in Groningen, the Netherlands, a team of more than 115 professionals. GCS consists of four departments in which technical and management consultants work along the entire gas value chain. Typical topics are policy and strategy, market research, regulation, risk management, asset integrity, safety, smart energy grids, sustainable gases, energy efficiency, gas analyses, flow consultancy and testing. Our Gas Infrastructure & Transport (GIT) team has set itself the mission to support gas transmission and distribution companies to transport gas in a safe, reliable and efficient manner. We provide technical knowledge and operational experience in the form of research projects, consultancy or technical services throughout the complete life cycle of a pipeline or installation. We are currently expanding the areas of asset integrity and Risk management consultancy and are looking for new colleagues to support our growing team.
Tasks
As an specialist in the field of Asset- & Risk Management you will be involved in activities ranging from analysis of failure mechanisms, implementing risk based maintenance, optimization of integrity and maintenance strategies, as well as Process Safety Management and auditing. Another growing topic is the consequences of feeding new and sustainable gases into the existing gas grid. You work internationally and in close cooperation with other DNV teams and client's experts. Depending on your expertise and experience you will be in charge of (international)projects, or contribute to large DNV project based on your specific expertise en experience.
What we are asking
- A higher education or academic background in mechanical engineering, materials science, metallurgy, chemistry, chemical engineering or physics;
- Experience in corrosion, materials science, welding, inspection, risk management or integrity management is considered favorable;
- Knowledge of gas assets and a broad network within the gas distribution or transportation sector is considered favorable (e.g. in the field of asset management, risk management, inspection techniques, metals and plastics, coating, network calculations etc.) ;
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team;
- Good communication skills (both in speech and in writing);
- A good command of the Dutch and English language;
- Commercial drive;
