Job Mission
As an ASML Design Engineer in the DE-EUV-ISQ department you will be a key player in a very fast-paced, multidiscipline environment. Primarily, you will be involved in high-level tool specification and tool design for future-generation scanners, but you will also be expected – and encouraged – to integrate with the dynamic and diverse ASML community. That’s because it is essential that you get to know the specialists who can help you solve problems and help you seize opportunities for improvement. But knowing these people is just the start, you’ll need to communicate with passion and vision to get their committed support. To help you achieve this mission, you’ll attend regular integration meetings to discuss and plan progress. You will present findings and results to management. And you will interact daily with 4,000 like-minded professionals.
Job Description
You will play a central role within a multidiscipline team that designs, tests and evaluates various imaging functionalities need to improve future generations of scanners. But above all, you will use your ‘self-propelling’ talents to seize initiatives whenever and where ever the opportunities arises, and you will practice your communications skills to get as many people behind the initiative to ensure its success.
Main Responsibilities
- To specify, design and validate wafer scanners’ optical system functionality
- Functionality design, specification and qualification
- Extensive analysis of performance data
Education
MSc or PhD in applied physics, mathematics or chemistry. BSc or MSc in physics or chemistry.
Experience
From 0 years - multi-year relevant experience in a multi-disciplined work environment.
Personal Skills
To be a good English language communicator and team player is essential. But you must also be a self- starter who can take initiatives and have the stamina/determination to achieve results.
Context of this position
Within ASML the Sector Development & Engineering is responsible for the specification and the design of the ASML products. The department Imaging Systems Development supplies resources, means and methods, and technology to deliver the specification, design, integration and validation of (sub) systems and the development of new competencies for Advanced Imaging.
