13 maart - Symposium

Posted on 04 May 2015

On Wednesday the 13th of May we would like to welcome you to the 2015 Franckensymposium called 'Light Matters'. A broad topic with a lot of interesting possibilities to explore. Speakers from several universities or institutes will shed their light about topics in the applied physics related to photonics. Examples are photonic-spintronic memories, the most recent type of lasers, cloaking and the interaction between light and mechanical motion in nanophotonic structures. Moreover we will welcome two companies, which are going to enlighten us about their research and development departments in the field of photonics. The combination of scientific research in the industry and at universities will give you a broad view of the possibilities in photonic-applications.
