Roberto lo Conte, one of the new professors at ZIAM this year, is giving the next Francken Friday Lecture on the 1st of March at 17:00. His lecture will focus on the design and investigation of topological quantum materials through different techniques: low-temperature spin-polarized scanning tunneling microscopy(SP-STM) and spin-polarized low energy electron microscopy(SPLEEM). At the end of the lecture, you will have a better idea of how his research group and surface scientists in general contribute to the making of the materials of the future.
