Francken Friday Lecture (FFL)

The “impossible” Atomic Physics that make sure ASML’s machines don't break

This talk will delve into the atomic physics driving EUV nanolithography, from the creation of laser-produced plasma (LPP) by striking tin droplets with powerful lasers, to the seemingly 'impossible' collisions taking place in the Hydrogen buffer gas that protects the machines from the violent tin plasmas.
