The advent of quantum computing provides both threats and opportunities to the financial industry. In this presentation a small introduction to quantum computing is given. Next, an introduction on derivatives pricing, or more specifically, option pricing is addressed. Both topics are then combined to give an overview of quantum computing solutions and how effective they are in tackling the problem of option pricing.
